Homework
Your homework this week is to present something on the four layers of soil that we have been learning about in science. Remember that the bottom layer is bedrock, followed by substratum, subsoil and then topsoil. You can present this work however you like. This is due in on Monday

Half Term Homework
Your homework for half term is to create a fireworks safety poster on Purple Mash. If you don’t have access to Purple Mash, you can make one on A4 but it must be presented well. Year 4 can make one on their computer and upload their work onto Google Drive if they know how.
To log onto Purple Mash the children can use their own logon or year 3 for the username and password. They need to save their work in the Fireworks Safety folder which is in 34T.

Next week you will doing a project on the World Cup. I would love for some flags to be made on A4 that we could use for our display. This could be a collage, painting or drawing. Celts Homework
Next week we will be writing a report on the Celts. We began our research in school but I would like you to continue this research at home and present it in any way you like.

Next week
What a few weeks. You all worked incredibly hard for the tests and I am very proud of you all.
We will be back to normal from next week with spellings given out every fortnight and homework given out every Monday. This will continue to be projects so that you can show your creativity. Every other Friday there will be a spelling test so that we have spent two weeks learning spellings and how to use them.

This week
I hope you've all had a good week and I look forward to being back on Monday. I will be giving you more homework on Monday but for this weekend could you find a picture of a coal miner or mine and create your own version. This could be using charcoal, pencils, a collage or something creative. We will be using these to inspire our work next week. Everyone who brings this in on Monday will get 10 merits. Make sure they are good quality as I will be using some on a display.

Help!
Yesterday I attended a maths course where I was shown amazing new resources and games. These games are very simple but take a long time to make. If you could stay even half an hour tomorrow (Thursday) morning to help cut out the games I would really appreciate it. As a thank you there will be plenty of tea coffee biscuits and cakes on hand. I hope you can help us as the children are really looking forward to these games. I look forward to seeing some of you tomorrow.
