Usernames

The children took home username cards today. They can use these to log onto our new website and so they need to keep them safe as we will be completing homework on this website every week from next week

Thank you

Thank you to my awesome helpers again. It's lovely to see family in class and I hope you enjoyed. See you next week!

Homework This Week

This week your homework is to create a game using 2DIY on the theme of giants. Who's game will be chosen to be featured on the website? Make sure the images are high quality and the game is challenging but can be completed. Save the game in the Giant Game folder on Purple Mash

Don't forget you now have new usernames. If you have any problems with it, use the year 3 username and password.

If you do not have access to the internet, you need to make a quiz resource on giants. This could be about a book or about a poem or story you find. You could write out a piece of writing and ask questions on it.

Help!

Yesterday I attended a maths course where I was shown amazing new resources and games. These games are very simple but take a long time to make. If you could stay even half an hour tomorrow (Thursday) morning to help cut out the games I would really appreciate it. As a thank you there will be plenty of tea coffee biscuits and cakes on hand. I hope you can help us as the children are really looking forward to these games. I look forward to seeing some of you tomorrow.

Thank you

Mr T

Homework

This week's English homework is to produce a piece of writing on Jack and the Beanstalk

You can write a poem, newspaper, diary, letter or rewrite the story, but it must be a piece of extended writing and not just images and a few words.

You can use any resource on Purple Mash or create a well made piece of writing on paper.

If you need a reminder of the story you can watch the following video: http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/misc/stories/misc-jackandthebeanstalk/

The best work will be used on a display, I cannot wait to see what wonderful work you produce. This is due in on Friday 10th January.

Coding

The class had their first day of a taste of coding today using the Kodable app. We have some excellent problem solvers here
